Announcement

The Notice of Availability (NOA) for the U.S. Air Force‚Äôs Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for 5th Generation Formal Training Unit Optimization, as published in the Federal Register on February 5, 2021, initiates the 30-day post-filing waiting period. The Final EIS is now available for public review on this website and at the libraries listed here. The Final EIS and Final Executive Summary can be found on the Documents page or by clicking on the EIS Documents menu item on the website navigation area above. The 30-day post-filing waiting period will end on March 8, 2021, followed by the Record of Decision (ROD).

Your participation in this process will assist the Air Force with the identification and evaluation of your environmental concerns regarding the proposed action.

About the EIS. The Air Force invites you to participate in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The Air Force is preparing this EIS to assess the potential effects from the proposed beddown of the F-22 FTU mission at JBLE-Langley, VA and establishment of an F-35A FTU squadron at Eglin AFB, FL.
